Trivia time

As you may have noticed, I’m not averse to the odd bit of trivia. That doesn’t make me a loser. It makes me very cool indeed.

Christmas quiz

And as I’m far too stingy and Scrooge-like to hand out proper presents to the readers of this blog, I thought I’d create a Christmas quiz for everyone instead. The following questions are rampantly egotistical – they’re all based on places I have been to this year. But if you’re up for the challenge, see how many of the answers you can get. The answers can be found here – leave a comment at the bottom of the answer page and let me know how many you get right.

  1. Henk says:

Q22 – by 1939 the Nazi Party was already in power in Germany for six years and roughly 20 years old (depending on what you want to take as the real founding of the Nazi Party).

  2. David says:

Ah yes – that’d be a typo. Well spotted – changed it now.

  3. have you thought about being a Jeopardy contestant? With all this knowledge, you could be the next Ken Jensen!

  4. Great quiz – I scored 12, and am pretty chuffed, considering the questions are just the teensy weensiest bit Australia-heavy…

  5. Travel PR’s best brains have gone at this, and the scores are as (pathetically) follows: Sue Ockwell 7, Richard Mellor 7, Mika Bishop 5. More (and better) to hopefully follow, and we may even be inspired to do our own.

Thanks David, it’s a fab quiz that’s made our respective afternoons very enjoyable.

  6. OK, so four out of 30 questions are on Australia. But I spent a lot of time there this year :)

    Glad you enjoyed it.

  7. DonaldS says:

    11 out of 30.

But I’m claiming a sort of moral victory because so many questions were about Oz or the Pacific… and I don’t fly. That’s my excuse anyway.

    Great quiz.

  8. Ben M says:

    14.5

But I dispute your answer for question 19!
