Gibraltar is tiny, so the airport has to be crammed in somewhat. Being on just about the only flat piece of land in the territory, the airport runway has superb views of the Rock of Gibraltar. More interestingly, the main road to Spain crosses the runway and has to be closed every time a plane lands.
