This rather posh joint in the Rocky Mountains supposedly has an extra member of staff who just won’t go away. It is thought that the hotel is haunted by the ghost of Sam Macaulay, a former bellhop who died shortly after he was forced to retire in 1978.
Since then his ghost has been seen wandering the hallways – but at least it’s a helpful phantom. Guests have reported being let into their room by the old white haired man after losing their keys, and others claim he has carried their luggage for them.
There are even stories from some guests of turning round to offer a tip, only to find that the bellhop has vanished.
The hotel’s staircase is also thought to be haunted by a ghost in a bridal dress.
